Marc Duschenes

Bayfield is headed Marc Duschenes, an award-winning and multidisciplinary CEO who has 20 years transactional experience. Marc started his career in the City writing stock market research for Credit Suisse, Natwest Markets and Kleinwort Benson, where after a spell as a Director he founded his Property and Fund Management business Braemar Group Plc which reversed on AiM. After a period of growth, Braemar was acquired by Brooks Macdonald plc. Marc remained as CEO of Brooks Macdonald Funds before exiting the business as part of an MBO which also included the 11 Unregulated Collective Schemes which are successfully being wound down.

Bayfield is emerging as a specialist in the Collective Investment Scheme arena, providing consistent commercial advice for stakeholders despite pressures from the property, debt and regulatory markets – a shining beacon in an otherwise illiquid and fraught environment.

Marc has headed 3 AiM and 3 Channel Islands Companies where he is also a Registered Director as Chair or CEO having listed Student Accommodation, Ground Rents and Farmland funds on the CISE. He has been authorised by the FSA/FCA since 1997 and has participated in the Financial Times Non-Executive Diploma course. He writes investment columns under the pseudonym “Mr Market” in Shares Magazine since 2008.
